Nokkville
Nokkville was a large city under Corgathian rule. It was fairly well-fortified, with a stone wall and a sizeable guard patrol. In the center of town stood a beautiful stone fountain, carved in the image of an old Corgathian king, standing up straight with his arms behind him, as water flowed out at his feet. Nokkville's central plaza was situated at the intersection of the town's three main roads: south feeding from the Dancing Dragon, west towards Corgath, and east towards The Snowy Mountain.

Districts #
The town's fanciest district was Grandcrest, which sat on a bit of a hill compared to the rest of the city and was made mostly of large homes of the upper middle class. Downhill was, true to its name, downhill of Grandcrest, where poorer families lived and some businesses operated out of those homes. Two Shades was the town's business-focused district, where most merchants were found.
Industry & Trade #
About an hour north of the city was the Nokkville Quarry, which mined the gray stone that the city was known for. In another nearby mine, the raw materials needed to make Starsteel were also mined and exported to Rice Town.
Famous Business #
The town had a strong merchant economy, and several businesses were well known across the Corgathian Kingdom.
- The Tragically Thrift trinket shop
- The seamstresses of Stitch Fix
- Stone City Tavern, established by Garen Cook and manned by him long after The Battle of Nokkville as a Remnant
- Lutger Forge
History #
In the year 275, a cult known as the Body of Ba'al began its activities in the city. This group was planning on destroying the city by enacting forbidden magic which would allow a Demon to be reincarnated in mortal flesh. The cult was stopped in this location by a group of three traveling heroes during the The Battle of Nokkville.
Necromantic activity during the battle led to the creation of the ghostly Remnants of Nokkville.
Architecture #
Living up to its moniker as Stone City, Nokkville's buildings were mostly made of a light gray limestone.
